Bita's parents and uncle came to our house on the 15th for merisik. I was pretty nervous knowing how accident prone i can be in serving food and drinks  . Bita used the back door to enter and waited in the tv room while the adults got to know each other over lunch. Then came to the big Q; the date for our engagement and wedding... Since my sister Nani is in KL and leaving for US on 5th April, our parents decided to have the engagement on the 29th. I got freaked out with only 2 weeks to prepare for the engagement. Mom kept cool and convinced me that it's possible. After a lot of effort and stress (hehe), the engagement came through.. And i have to admit eventho' in a short timeframe, both Bita and I had fun looking for items to include in our hantaran and especially going ring hunting...  On the day itself, mom had all her friends from the office to help out.. (thank u very much Aunty Saadah, Aunty Faridah and Aunty Joy! and of course Aunty Norma!) Found out from the caterers that about 250 ppl came for the engagement when in reality we only catered for about 150ppl!  But alhamdullillah, we managed to pull through and true enuff, no leftovers were left behind... (the key was to have the food served instead of buffet style.. heheh) Hired Bita's friend Ewok and Haziq (Pixelart photography) to take pictures and videographer from Mom's ofc to capture the moment. Bita came together with his entourage and looking good as ever... Somehow, till this moment, I still can't believe that I'm actually a step closer to becoming his wife.. Thanks Mom, Dad, Kak Pah, Mak Long, Pixelart and videographer, Pak Long, Pak Teh, Mak Long Rodiah and Uncle Hamidun, Aunty Leila, Aunty Norma, Aunty Yan, and everyone who helped out for the engagement..

Had another gathering at my parent's home... Our initial barbeque nite was postponed to november, cuz amar won't be back from NZ till then... So, we decided to have a get together instead with pot luck galore from my cousins.... Bita joined in the fun and had few chats with dear ol' dad talking about cars, and work... =P or so he said.. ehheh!

Bita and Nana... together at last!

It's kinda weird seeing how my love life turns out.... Just never thought that I would end up with the only guy that I really had a big crush on... We met after school, during the ever so popular mirc chatting channels.. First time that we were introduced, I remember looking at this bald guy, slightly chubby, with his white tee and baggy jeans, sporting a black adidas... My first thought *wow! comelnyer this guy!* but we didn't even speak a word to each other... cuz i thought he was a stuck up.. *but in his defence, he said he was shy... yelah, first time keluar from an all boys school terus bersosial ngan girls... ehehe* So I got close to one of the guys in the gang, and dated him for a month....
After all those years, bita and i kept in touch.. smsing.. calling each other up.. Until 2 years ago, told him tht i used to have a crush on him in one of those light conversations tht we normally have... And he told me, he liked me since the first time we met... *Couldn't hide the excitement that i was feeling at that exact moment...=P then he revealed all those times while waiting for our uni applications, he would call me up from the public phone with a bag full of coins when he was in Johore just to see whether he had a chance to get to know me..* Me being my blur self didn't see tht as a sign... so tht's how we ended up going out with different ppl.. *Cuz he thought i was not into him..* Tulah Di, blur lagi! So we went our ways, and remained friends...
Until last year, we met up again and let's just say we hit it off... Till now, i still find it hard to believe that I'm with him.... After 9 years of constant messaging and chatting... I'll be getting engaged to d one guy that i'd never thought to have the chance of spending the rest of my life with... And for that, Bita... thank you for making me the happiest woman in the whole universe! Je'taime beaucoup!

It's been quite some time since my mom's siblings got together for buka puasa.... Since it's Mak Anjang's birthday, we had our buka puasa session in one of the oldest Northern cuisine restaurant in KL.. Omar Khayam! They have been around since the early 60s and is considered one of my family's fav gastro strophic experience.. Mom and dad used to date there, and my sisters and i have been going there ever since we were little kids... So u could say tht there's a sentimental value attached... This cosy restaurant is still a popular hangout place... So mom booked the private room... Even the owner still remembers mom and dad *i had a hard time recalling how he looked like 22 years ago... ehehehe!* Although a few members of the Ibrahim clan weren't able to attend, the atmosphere was lively as always.... So, my cousins and i have decided that we're going to have our very own barbeque party in 2 weeks time at my place... Just to continue the tradition tht our parents have shown us.... ultimate bonding sessions!

Roaming free with nature in Kuala Gandah..

Went to Kuala Gandah in Pahang to get up close with the animals.. My cousin Fanna was our tour guide for the day since she's been there 3 times. It was an overwhelming experience and the best part is admission is free.. *i sound like a certain cheapskate i know.. * The first 100 ppl to register will get to bathe and ride the elephants... Leman was there to enjoy the whole trip... And I'm definitely going there again!

At Last!!!!
I managed to set my foot in China! I've always wanted to go there and at last... I made it! hehe!
All in all, it was the best trip ever...*maybe the fact tht the whole Ibrahim clan was there... plus tht i paid RM1,000/- for the 6 days trip... including air and ground arrangement..  * Dirt cheap!
PS: Nani, jangan jealous yeh....
